This schedule is VERY preliminary. The application and jury
process takes a long time. These are some of the shows I have applied to. I
will update this list often. Shows with black text are confirmed while shows with pale blue text are still pending.
OCTOBER
October 29 - Final Friday studio opening- Sheboygan, WI
No Admission. Friday 6-10. Every month on the final friday the studios and galleries at the Ebco building in Sheboygan open up. At this months special event I too will be opening my studio for the very first time! It's a great opportunity to see more of my artwork including paintings, illustrations, and special discounted silk items for sale. As part of the holiday festivities I will also be set up to draw "Jack-o-you"s. Also known as fun little pumpkin portraits.
The Ebco venture center and studios are located at 1201 Erie Ave.
NOVEMBER
November 20 - Kohler School Friends Art &
Craft Fair - Kohler, WI
Admission charged. Saturday 9-5. Kohler Public School, 333 Upper Road, Kohler (1 block
behind The American Club's Holiday Market -- complimentary shuttle service) Fundraiser
for the school includes more than 90 artists and crafters, a Holiday Café, a bake
sale, entertainment, and a raffle.
November 27 - The Domes Gift Shop Art Fair - Milwaukee, WI
Admission Charged. Saturday 10-3. This Invitational Art Fair on the Saturday after Thanksgiving features twenty artists (including me!) whose work is featured in the Domes Gift Shop. All sales benefit both the artists and the Domes Gift Shop. At the Mitchell Park Horticultural Conservatory "The Domes" (524 S. Layton Blvd., Milwaukee, WI). A great place to take the family or visiting guests! If you haven't seen my new line of black cotton mono-printed clothing, this would be a great chance. The Domes new Holiday Display (Frosty Fables) will be on exhibit in the Floral Show Dome.
DECEMBER
December 5-6 - Mabel Tainter Theater Fine Art
Show - Menomonie, WI
Admission charged. The Mabel Tainter Memorial Theater is a
fully functional Victorian era theater with a year round performing arts season
featuring nationally recognized artists. The Mabel Tainter Memorial Theater is
listed on the National Register of Historic Places, a charter member of the
League of Historic American Theatres and a designated Wisconsin Historical
Marker Site. The Mabel Tainter building includes a lavish 313-seat "crown
jewel" Victorian theater and a historic reading room. It is a premier
example of a restored vintage American theater. The theater contains intricate
hand-stenciling, hand carved white pine archways, rich walnut, mahogany, and
oak woodwork, gleaming brass fixtures, leaded glass windows, and a rare working
Steere and Turner tracker pipe organ with 1,597 pipes.
